  1. 1. Capture Leads and Deliver Fresh Content with the Microsite Template

Enjoy the flexibility to create a site and deploy it to customers without the bulk of a full website. The new Microsite template showcases best practices and gives you a new way to use Experience Cloud’s latest technology. With the ability to gather user data and create leads directly from your site, opportunities are easy to track.
Where: This change applies to LWR sites using the Microsite template, accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. The template is available when you
purchase Salesforce CMS in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Why: Gather user information from your site and store it directly in the Salesforce Leads object using the new Lead Form component. Using the power of Lightning Web Runtime (LWR), microsites provide enhanced page performance and Lightning components that are easier for your developers to customize. New components include:

  • Lead Form

  • Header

  • Banner

  • Tile

  • Image

  • Video

  • Text

  • Button

  • Horizontal Line

  1. 2. Redirect Users Within an Experience Cloud Site

Redirect users to URLs within the same Experience Cloud site to retain the discoverability and SEO equity of your web pages.Where: This change applies to Aura and LWR sites accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: To set up URL redirects, add the source and target URLs to a CSV file that you can upload to your site’s Experience Workspace. You can use the provided sample CSV template to add your URLs. The source URL is the Experience Cloud site page you want to direct your users away from. The target URL is the page in the same Experience Cloud site where you want to redirect your users to. For the source and target URLs, include everything after the domain name.

Sample CSV

/source, /target

/TargetSite/s/account/001RM000005Su9JYAS/acme, /newaccount/001RM000005Su9JYAS/acme

To import the CSV file to your Experience Cloud site, select Workspaces | Administration | URL Redirects | Import.

NOTE Importing a new CSV file overwrites the existing redirect file. To add URLs redirects without replacing existing redirect rules, first export your existing redirects as a CSV file. Add the new URLs to the file you downloaded, and then import the CSV file again.

Use the following expressions in Experience Builder when working with LWR sites: {!Item.fieldName} to get a field’s value in data-bound contexts, {!Route.param} to get a query or route parameter from the URL, and {!Site.basePath} to resolve the basePath of the LWR site. Anything inside the {! } delimiters is evaluated and dynamically replaced when the component is rendered.

Where: This change applies to LWR sites accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions. You must have at least one active community license in your org to use this feature.

  1. 5. Hide More Personal Information Fields

Prevent external users, such as portal or partner users, from viewing personal information in your user records. Now when you apply the Enhanced Personal Information Management setting, Salesforce blocks view access to 20 fields that are considered personal information. This setting is also more flexible than the Hide Personal Information setting. To implement this setting, in User Management Settings, add or remove the PersonalInfo compliance category for any field.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.
